The Fanatec GT2 European Series has locked in the calendar for its third season competition, with dates for all six double-header rounds now confirmed.
An official pre-season test on 14 March at Dijon, France, will now help to get preparations underway for the 2023 edition of the SRO championship created for modern-era GT2 machinery.
The previously unconfirmed date for round two at the Red Bull Ring is also now set for 27-28 May, completing the forthcoming season’s schedule.
Returning to the circuit where the Fanatec GT2 European Series held its inaugural race in 2021, the 2023 season opens with the first round at Monza, on 22-23 April, before heading to Austria for the second-round battles.
The field of 2023 then returns to Dijon for round three on 17-18 June, before heading to the Algarve for the series’ debut in support of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship, on 22-23 July.
Returning fresh from the mid-summer break, it’s time to rejoin the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS for the penultimate GT2 battles of the season in Valencia, Spain, in September.
The 2023 title decider will be staged in France, at Circuit Paul Ricard, on 7-8 October.
