The Fanatec GT2 European Series delivered a thrilling second season of competition in 2022, with the outright and Pro-Am title fight going right down to the final laps of the final race of the season.

36 Drivers
A total of 36 drivers competed across both classes (Am and Pro-Am) of the 2022 series.
14 Nations
14 nationalities were represented on the 2022 grid. Austria and Italy were the best represented, with five drivers from each country racing this season.

Six prestigious brands raced in the second year of the series. Audi, Brabham Automotive, KTM and Porsche featured highly all season, while Lamborghini snatched Am victory on its Misano appearance, and the Mercedes GT Track Series made a guest appearance at the Red Bull Ring.
9 Pole positions
KTM was the most successful brand in qualifying across the season, with True Racing by Reiter Engineering notching up eight. A further pole position was also achieved by Reiter Engineering’s additional entry at Circuit Paul Ricard.
16 Wins
Audi recorded the highest number of wins across both classes of competition, seven scored in Pro-Am and a further nine across the brand’s Am entries.
7 Wins
Seven is the magic number of the most race wins recorded by an entry this season – achieved by PK Carsport’s Nicolas Saelens and Stienes Longin, and LP Racing’s Henry Hassid, both in Audi machinery.
5 Brands made the podium
Audi, Brabham Automotive, KTM, Lamborghini and Porsche all featured on the 2022 Fanatec GT2 European Series podium.

Nine elite motorsport teams took part in at least one Fanatec GT2 European Series race in 2022.

The iconic Brabham brand added a new entry to the history books with Brabham Automotive’s first Fanatec GT2 European Series win at Misano. Anders Fjordbach and Kevin Weeda went on to score three more podiums.

PK Carsport’s Peter Guelinckx and Bert Longin scored the most podiums without earning outright victory. Consistency earned the duo third in the standings.
2 families
The Fanatec GT2 European Series is for all the family. Father and son, Bert and Stienes Longin conducted campaigns in sister PK Carsport Audis, scoring 17 podiums between them. Henry Hassid and son Maxime teamed up to win at Paul Ricard.

From the first free practice at Imola to the final chequered flag of the season at Circuit Paul Ricard, the field completed a minimum of 26 hours of track time. And that’s not counting official testing!
2023
Back for a third season with a six-round double-header race calendar, the Fanatec GT2 European Series 2023 will feature new events at Dijon, France and Portimão, Portugal.

2023 is already set to be a stellar season, with both the Maserati MC20 and Mercedes-AMG GT2 set to join the field.
