- Post-race penalty hands final Am Cup victory at Hockenheim to #7 Sportec Motorsport crew.
- Pit stop infringement for #24 Reiter Engineering KTM drops Stuck and Rosenberger to second in the final result.
Sportec Motorsport's Christoph Ulrich and Christop Lenz have been awarded victory in the Am Cup for the final Fanatec GT2 European Series race of the weekend at Hockenheimring following a post-race penalty for the #24 Reiter Engineering KTM of Hans-Joachim Stuck and Kris Rosenberger.
A 25-second penalty has been added to the race time for #24 after a Judge of Fact determined mechanics had been working on the car's tyre pressures with the engine still running during it's mandatory pit stop, which contrevenes Article 36.1 of the Sporting Regulations.
It means the #24 team therefore drop to second in the final result, with Ulrich and Lenz picking up a second victory of the season in the category to boost morale after a tough weekend for the #7 KTM.
For Stuck and Rosenberger, it means their search for a maiden victory in the series continues after two narrow misses at Monza and in Baden-Württemberg this weekend.
