Czech squad RTR Projects has confirmed entry for its debut Fanatec GT2 European Series season with the new KTM X-Bow GT2.
The #89 car will be driven by Jan Krabec, who joins the GT2 grid after a two-year hiatus in racing. Prior to that, the Czech driver proved his potential in ADAC GT4, achieving an outright win a Sachsenring in 2019 and numerous podiums across the 2020 season.
Although joining the GT2 Am class for his first term with RTR, Krabec, already has a strong affiliation with KTM. Having raced in the X-BOW Battle series in his rookie years, Krabec also claimed some notable 24H Series race wins and podium performances in the KTM GT4.
“I am so excited to return to the beautiful European race tracks and to participate in the entire racing season in the Fanatec GT2 European Series this year!” said Krabec.
“After the two-year pause, I have spent a lot of time training, preparing and testing the car this winter and I find the GT2 performance more than impressive. I am looking forward to fighting and conquering new challenges and I am ready to work hard with the team during our first year in the series.”
Joining the GT2 family for the first time this year, RTR Projects are firmly established KTM specialists racing across Europe in series including the Carbonia Cup, ADAC GT4 Germany and the 24H Series, in addition to domestic championships.
The all-Czech crew is now set for its Fanatec GT2 European Series debut at Monza, Italy, 21-23 April.
