It’s been two full months since the previous round of the GT Sports Club in Barcelona. Italian Max Bianchi (#23 Kessel Racing Ferrari) won the first race on the Circuit de Catalunya. The Italian preceded two other Ferrari-drivers, Frenchman Cedric Mezard (#8 Scuderia Villorba Corse) and Belgian Patrick Van Glabeke (#42 AF Corse). Victory in the Iron Cup went to Michael Luzich (#54 AF Corse Ferrari), while Wong Yau Runme (#38 Kessel Racing Ferrari) won the Cup Challenge.
The GT Sports Club will be part of the popular Blancpain Endurance Series meeting. The Circuit Paul Ricard Blancpain Endurance Series 1000 is the first meeting ever which sees no less than four SRO organisations united during the same weekend: there is of course the Blancpain Endurance Series, but Le Castellet also hosts the second round of the GT Sports Club, an event of the Supercar Rally, and last but not least the world premiere of the Ultracar Sports Club.
The detailed entry list will be announced soon.
