+ Result: Free Practice 2, Portimão
Philippe and Louis Prette each set a fastest lap to put the father-and-son crew top of the times during second practice at Portimão, as Maserati dominated the session.
Mikkel Njor initially put a Ginetta out front but Roberto Pampanini soon displaced him before Philippe and Louis both improved further to put the #1 LP Racing Maserati clear of the pack. Maseratis proved the machines to beat, filling the top four places with Pampanini and Mauro Calamia second in the golden DINAMIC car ahead of the SP Racing entry shared by Iron Dames Sarah Bovy and Laura van den Hengel. Niccolò Pirri and Stefan Rosina completed the quartet in their LP Racing-run machine, finishing as the top Silver runner.
Georgi Dimitrov recovered from the CMR Lamborghini’s troubles yesterday to lead the chase of the Maseratis in fifth ahead of Reinhard Kofler and Marius Aigner’s MZR KTM. Antoine Potty made it five Maserartis in the top seven in his i4Race entry ahead of Overall championship leaders Njor and Ethan Gialdini.
Viktor Mraz and Lennart Marioneck stayed out front in Masters, with the RTR X-Bow pulling clear of Jack Russel and Max Grip aboard the MZR KTM.
Qualifying is set for 11:55.
