+ Rising star earns major opportunity in Mercedes-AMG GT3 run by GetSpeed
+ German squad brings vast international success and proven track record in GT World Challenge
+ Jay Mo Härtling acknowledged as standout SRO GT Academy candidate in GT2 Europe
SRO GT Academy winner Jay Mo Härtling will contest the 2027 GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 run by GetSpeed. The German squad has been selected to oversee the young driver’s prize entry, which he earned for his performances in the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli.
Härtling – who turns 24 tomorrow (21 October) – was the outstanding candidate for this coveted seat. Piloting a Mercedes-AMG GT2 for SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm, he beat seven rivals across the five-round campaign, finishing well clear of runner-up Ethan Gialdini. Sharing with David Thilenius, Härtling picked up three race wins and helped to secure the Pro-Am class title in his debut season.
Next year he will link up with GetSpeed to contest the most competitive GT series in the world in what is expected to be a Silver Cup programme. A proven winner and one of the selected Mercedes-AMG Performance Teams, the German squad made its GT World Challenge Europe debut at Misano in 2019 and launched a full Endurance Cup assault the following year.
It has since run a variety of programmes across multiple classes, including factory-supported Pro entries and a longstanding Silver Cup presence. The team closed the 2026 season in style with a commanding overall win in the GT World Challenge Europe finale at Portimão.
GetSpeed has also enjoyed success at the marquee 24 Hours of Spa. It secured Silver Cup victory at the event's centenary edition in 2024 and finished on the overall podium in 2022, clinching runner-up spot in a Mercedes-AMG one-two. It demonstrated its operational prowess at this year's race by fielding four cars in as many different categories, taking home a podium finish with its Pro-Am crew.
Based at the Nürburgring, GetSpeed is led by CEO and team principal Adam Osieka, whose own racing experience includes several GT World Challenge Europe starts and a class-winning run at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2023, when he was a late call-up to drive a Mercedes-AMG GT3 for SunEnergy1 Racing.

“We are delighted to confirm that GetSpeed will field our SRO GT Academy winner from the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli in 2027,” said SRO Motorsports Group Founder and CEO Stéphane Ratel.
“I must thank our partners Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and Pirelli for facilitating this opportunity. They have demonstrated full commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent. Creating a ladder such as this requires first-class partners and we are fortunate to count on them. It will certainly be exciting to watch as Jay Mo graduates to the GT World Challenge powered by AWS Endurance Cup next year.”
“I am very proud that GetSpeed has been selected to field the Mercedes-AMG GT3 entry for SRO GT Academy winner Jay Mo Härtling in the 2027 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup,” said Adam Osieka, CEO and team principal of GetSpeed. “Jay Mo has earned this opportunity through his outstanding performances in a highly competitive GT2 European Series. We look forward to working with him as he takes the next step in his career. The SRO GT Academy is a great initiative to develop young talent and create opportunities for their future in motorsport.”
“The season in the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli was incredibly exciting and felt like a rollercoaster ride at times,” said Jay Mo Härtling. “We made a very strong start, but also had a few mixed results along the way. Overall, though, I think we did a really good job. Winning the SRO GT Academy is an important step forward for both SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm and myself, and one that opens up exciting opportunities for the future. We want to build on this success. I’m really pleased that the SRO GT Academy has given me the opportunity to compete in the GT World Challenge Europe in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 next year.”

The SRO GT Academy judges drivers on factors such as speed and consistency, shifting the focus from results to performance in an effort to unearth the best all-round talents. It launched last year in Championnat de France FFSA GT, with Gaspard Simon emerging as the star performer. In a clear statement of intent, Simon secured a full-season GT World Challenge Europe seat with leading Aston Martin squad Walkenhorst Motorsport.
It has expanded this year to include the GT2 Europe prize with GetSpeed, and a 24 Hours of Spa opportunity with Team Motopark. The latter will bring together four winners – one each from the GT World Challenge powered by AWS series in America, Asia and Australia, as well as British GT – at the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG GT3. The FFSA GT element also remains in place, with Léo Jousset the overwhelming favourite to secure the €150,000 prize, as well as support and coaching from SRO Motorsports Group and the FFSA Academy.
