ALTON, Virginia – Ryan Gates again paced the GT Sports Club America field in the series' second practice at VIRginia International Raceway Friday afternoon.
Gates, running in the overall class, set an early fast time of 1:51.321 behind the wheel of the #311 311RS Motorsport Porsche 911 GT2 RS CS. He then posted a 1:50.122 and improved to a 1:49.947 to close out the session.
Karl Leinsing in the #54 Atech Design Porsche 911 GT2 RS CS was second in class and third fastest overall with a 1:54.517.
Iron Division competitor Stu Frederick, piloting the #57 GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT2 RS CS posted a 1:52.160, good for second overall on the charts.
GT Sports Club America Series drivers will next take to the track for qualifying at 10:35 am Saturday.
