Mauro Calamia and Roberto Pampanini mastered changeable conditions to put DINAMIC Motorsport at the top of the timesheets in GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli Pre-Qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps.
The #7 Maserati GT2 crew set off at a steady pace as competitors adapted to tricky conditions after heavy rain at the Ardennes circuit. Once Calalmia made a switch to slick Pirelli tyres, the Swiss driver’s best effort of 2m25.638s lowered the times dramatically to put him fastest by 1.4s.
The majority of the field followed suit and switched to slicks in the closing minutes of the 60-minute session. The #89 RTR Projects KTM X-Bow of Mato Homola and David Kajaia took full advantage to climb to second overall.
A late charge from Petr Lisa and Viktor Mraz in the Czechia squad’s sister car moved the #789 KTM to the top of the Am class order, third overall, ahead of title rival Philippe Prette in the LP Racing Maserati.

Pro-Am points-leaders Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra clocked in fifth fastest in the #11 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo 2, Stefan Rosina setting the team's top time after switching to slicks following a solid stint from Bronek Formanek.
Free Practice pace-setters NM Racing Team (Mercedes-AMG) completed the top six, ahead of the Audi R8 LMS GT2 of LP Racing duo Gianluca Giorgi and Daniele Cazzaniga. AKF Motorsport’s Oliver Freymuth rounded out the top eight in his Am class Lamborghini.
Attention shifts to Friday for GT2 Europe, with Qualifying kicking off at 10:15 and the opening 60-minute race commencing from 14:55 CEST. All the action from Spa-Francorchamps will be streamed live on the GT World YouTube channel.
