KTM returns to GT2 Europe grid with RTR Projects

RTR Projects will return the KTM brand to the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli grid this year, with Viktor Mráz and Mato Homola confirmed for a full-season Pro-Am attack.

The Czech team has been a regular on the grid since 2023, securing multiple race wins across both its KTM X-Bow GT2 and Mercedes-AMG GT2 entries.

The team is again planning a multi-car entry, with its KTM crew being the first confirmed. Mráz and Homola both have extensive experience of racing the X-Bow GT2, with Mráz making his first appearance in the series in 2024 while Homola is a long-term RTR driver with a long list of successes in touring cars, GTs and even a Slovakian Hillclimb title to his name.

Mráz and Homola made their GT2 Europe debut as a pairing at Valencia last season, scoring both a pole position and a podium finish.

Now the pair will return for a full campaign aboard the 2.5-litre Audi-powered X-Bow GT2, with their sights set on challenging for Pro-Am class honours.

RTR Projects said in a statement: “For the 2026 season, we have a clear goal – to turn our potential into consistent results. We aim to fight for podium finishes, score points, and remain competitive throughout the championship. It’s a series both the team and the drivers know inside out, but this year’s field will be particularly strong.

"The KTM has real potential, and we believe this well-synced duo can build on previous successes and establish themselves among the front-runners in the Pro-Am category.”
